For receiving, give a 0x address on the Ethereum network. The swap goes through after Solana network confirmations. The exact rate and minimum are shown right in the swap form. The move is usually forced rather than chosen: holding dollars on Solana is cheap and quick, but a contract, a deposit, or a counterparty may only know ERC-20. That comes at a double cost - the swap itself, then gas on every step you take afterwards on mainnet. Do you check the customer, and is an account needed?

No account, and the customer as a person is not checked: the form holds the amount and your USDC address on the Ethereum network. Automated screening looks at the funds arriving into the order. A deposit that fails it does not move on and returns to an address the sender controls.

Why move from Solana to ERC-20?

Usually because a protocol or counterparty only takes USDC on Ethereum. Solana is cheaper, but it is not accepted everywhere.

Are the addresses different - which one do I give?

They are different: USDC on Solana uses a Solana wallet address, USDC on Ethereum a 0x one. Give the second, from a wallet switched to Ethereum mainnet where USDC shows as an ERC-20 token. We only display deposit details for the right network.

Why do I not land on exactly the same amount?

Because one dollar sits in two separate assets: the SPL token on Solana and ERC-20 on Ethereum live apart on-chain, and moving between networks is not free. The amount is priced at the rate the form shows before you send, and it holds once you start.

How long is the wait for the Ethereum side?

The first half is quick: the swap starts after Solana confirmations, and Solana confirms transfers in seconds. The payout then travels on Ethereum mainnet, where speed is middling and depends on the load. We do not name exact minutes, they differ through the day.

A different amount arrived than the order shows - what then?

It is recalculated from what actually reached the deposit address, at the rate when it confirms. A small shortfall or overshoot only shifts the final figure. A large or unusual gap goes to manual review, and support at @swappsy agrees the outcome with you, a return included.

Will the dollars come back if the swap does not finish?

They will, which is what the refund address on the order is for. If the exchange cannot be carried through, the USDC returns as the same SPL token on Solana, to an address under your control.
