Payment Link or Invoice: Which to Use for Your Business
Payment link or crypto invoice: the difference between the two and which one fits each business situation.

An invoice fits when you have a specific amount and a specific customer. A payment link fits when you want the customer to choose their coin, or when you need the same link to work for repeated payments. The difference is small, but it affects convenience in particular situations.
Invoice
Created for a specific transaction: a fixed amount, a chosen coin and network, an expiry. The customer gets a link to a page with an address, scans the QR, and pays. Status is tracked automatically.
Good for: a one-off service payment, a specific order, when you've already agreed on the amount and coin. Works well for freelancers, consultants, any B2B transaction.
Limitation: it expires. If the customer doesn't pay in time, you create a new one.
Payment link (permanent)
One link, the customer picks the coin and network from your approved list. You set the price in dollars, the rate is calculated at the moment of payment. The link doesn't expire and can sit on your site, in a bot, or go out in a message.
Good for: selling the same product or service to many buyers; when customers pay different amounts; when you need a permanent link for balance top-ups or recurring payments.
The practical rule
Specific order, specific amount, customer knows what to pay with: use an invoice. You want to give the customer a choice, need a permanent link, or accept multiple coins: use a payment link.
Many businesses use both: invoices for one-off transactions, payment links for repeat customers and site widgets.
