Speed depends mainly on the coin's network and how busy the blockchain is at that moment. Tron and BNB Chain confirm transactions in seconds. Ethereum at peak hours takes a few minutes. Bitcoin takes ten minutes or more. The choice of exchange service has almost nothing to do with it.

Why some coins are faster than others

Every blockchain runs on its own rules. Some produce a block every second; others, every ten minutes. Send on a slow network and you wait longer, regardless of which exchange you use.

What confirmations are and why they're required

An exchange doesn't process your swap the moment you send. It waits for the network to confirm the transaction several times. This is protection against double-spending. On fast networks it takes seconds; on Bitcoin, minutes.

Does the network fee affect speed

Yes. Transactions with low fees go to the back of the queue when the network is busy. Wallets usually offer standard and priority speeds. If you need it fast, pay the higher fee.

Is a fixed rate slower

Not by itself. But a fixed rate has a time window. If the network delays your transaction and the window closes, the rate recalculates. Fixed rates work better with fast networks for that reason.

What to do if a swap is stuck

Open a blockchain explorer and look up your transaction hash. If the network has confirmed the send, the exchange will process it once it receives the required number of confirmations. Keep the hash ready in case you need to contact support.
