TRC-20 is the network most people mean when they say they hold USDT, largely because sending it costs little and settles quickly. Sending needs the network coin, not only the token
A USDT balance on Tron cannot move by itself: the transfer is paid for in the network’s own resources, so a wallet holding stablecoin and nothing else can be stuck. This is the most common reason a transfer that "should work" does not.
The address looks like nothing else here
Tron addresses have their own shape, which makes this one of the few stablecoin networks where a wrong-chain send is caught by the address itself rather than succeeding quietly. It is a real safety margin the EVM networks do not give you.
